Stop ...take the time.

As you rush about your day to day life, stop for a moment and try to remember the last time you enjoyed one of life's simple pleasures.

It is so easy to get caught up in the rush, with the 1001 things most of us have to fit into a day and because we are all so busy and it is easy to take the instant gratification of artificial pleasures.

Stop.... take time out. Even if it is just once a week to do something that gratifies your soul too. The simple pleasures...

Remember the joy of walking in the rain n splashing in puddles ....or watching ( and I mean really watching ) a butterfly as it flutters by.
Being outside on a beautiful day .... or inside nice and warm, curled up with a good book on a bleak, miserable day.
The warmth of cuddling a small child fresh from the bath, all snuggly in a towel ... telling and/or hearing I love you with your soul mate.
The joy on someone's face when you do them an unexpected kindness.

I could go on and on about life's simple pleasures and I'm sure when you take the time to stop and consider, you would have a huge list too. Next time you think about rushing out for pizza and a movie ...go lay outside and look at the stars.

Life's little pleasures are what I want to remember when I am old and frail. Love, kindness, the wonder of nature, those kind of things.
So ...please stop ... take time out ....and enjoy being alive.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...to leave the world a better place... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. That is to have succeeded."

Yeah - Life is too fast these days...

once again.. I blame capitalism... there is this omni pressent fear of failure, and keeping up with everyone else is paramount, so people just dont take the time to stop, take a few breaths and take a look at where they are coming from, or where they are going.

I am glad there are people like you though Jess... you sould will shine when many fade away... you know what to appreciate.

BAM!!!
